26.2 miles of pure CRAZINESS

I did it! I ran my second marathon! It was the Phoenix PF Changs. It was so fun and so different from the San Diego one. There were spectators EVERYWHERE! It made it so enjoyable. And not to mention the weather was absolutely perfect!

That morning Aaron and I woke up very early and headed downtown. He was so perfect during all of this! He de-stressed me and was there every step of the way (up until the start....). While we were waiting for it to start I ran into Summer, a girl from high school I swam with. She stayed with us until it started too!

Saying bye to Aaron knowing it will be so long and I'll be in pain next time I see him again!

I caught him and my sisters (Kristie too!) at mile 15. It was sooo needed. After running that long you kinda get to the point where your like... I just want to see my family!

Aaron ran a little with me and Ian and Alejandra were there too!

I hit the wall at mile 22. And it HURT! I kinda think I psyched myself thinking it would be so much easier than San Diego cuz it would be flat, then I was so mad I hit the wall! Luckily Alejandra was there on the sidelines right when I needed her! She ran a little with me too and kept me going!

At about mile 23 I found my friend Rey (my ragnar buddy as well) and we ran the end together. We were both getting pretty bad cramps, and I complained the entire way to the finish line. He had to start singing to me to keep me going! But we did it and we passed the finish line together!

My sisters, Aaron, Aim, Corb and baby Asher we at mile 26 pushing me the last little way! It was perfect! Although I was crying it was so awesome to finally have Katie as a spectator!

And.... right at the finish line was my coach: JESSIE! (And Curtis!)

I seriously have the best family and friends! Corb even brought his super fancy lens and took awesome pictures!

My coach! She is the best! And she was so concerned about me! She will train me for all of my marathons!

To my surprise my brother in law and sister in law came!

After we all headed to mellow mushroom to meet my mom for pizza. Because after running 26.2 miles, a pizza was in store. And a bathroom!

Thanks to all my fans.... I just love you all to pieces and each of you made that day so special to me!

In other news:
This little boy got braces (again)! He looks even YOUNGER now! He only did it cuz I wanted him to. He will thank me one day.

My mommy had a half day Wed (Jan 25). We went to lunch at Pei Wei, ironed, chatted, shopped at Hallmark, Cooked dinner and got a fro yo. All things this little lady loves.

November and December stuff

November and December were two busy months! Sadly, my camera missed out on a lot of the fun. Late November (Thanksgiving day) we celebrated Katies birthday! Happy birthday, Tater. Love you big sissy!

She left the day after Thanksgiving to spend her birthday weekend at Disneyland. Who could blame her? Aud, Aaron and I gave you a gift card to have fun in the Magic Kingdom.

We were so lucky to have Nanie come up. We love her so much! How can we not, she's a lover!

She's seriously adorable. Everyone needs Nanie in their life.

So.... this is the only documentation I got of it but Aud and I braved the crazies and went black Friday shopping!

We didn't score anything big, but let's just say I tripled my DVD collection, which I'm totally ok with!

What I'm NOT okay with is I only got ONE picture of Tanner and Heather's wedding!
We went up to Utah for the event. It was freezing! The sealing was great, and the whole wedding was so nice. And a lot of the family was there and I just love seeing the extended Dahl family!

Later in December we bought a new car, which is awesome, but.....
What's even more awesome....

Is they were having their holiday party. So they gave us free lunch! It was so awkwardly out of place for us, but why not mooch on food while buying a car!!!

Christmas was a BLAST this year. Christmas Eve we went to Nanie's as usual. Yummy food and my favorite people.

Christmas day wouldn't you know Taylor and Nathan called the EXACT same time! (it had to happen in the 2 yrs, right!?) So we stopped by the Dahls in the morning before I left to talk to Nay
I must say I gave Rhea the cutest necklace that I want for myself!

Here is Grandma! We love seeing her every time we go to Aaron's parents!

And this baby. Dang, I can't say enough about him! Although he was spoiled with too many gifts this year he played with them all and he is getting so big! he can say all his letters! He is a genius! I want to kiss his cheeks right this instant!

Ash gave me a Down-East shirt, earrings, and gum. She knows the way to my heart.

Meanwhile back at the Askins-ins.....

We talked to both of our brothers who are doing awesome. I can't wait til March! I think us girls might cry harder seeing him than we did when he left!!

So, Santa leaves presents in piles around our house. None wrapped. So, naturally he did this year, and we have everyone pose with their piles!

I love my stalking my Nana made. I miss her and my two Papa's so much and Christmas time always makes me think of them because they made Christmas SOOOOOO special as a kid!

We ended Chrismas with Aud telling us facts about Arizona from the SUPER awesome OFFICIAL centennial book I got her.

The kick is the microphone she is talking in speaks in chipmunk form.... so we really couldn't take her seriously.
